Objective
In this bench scale study with a fermentation partner, the objective was to understand the impact that Hydrosome H2O could have on the yield of a target compound from a precision fermentation
Design
An engineered strain of E.coli, designed to produce a specific glycochemical, was grown in the presence of DI water and Hydrosome H2O (DI water with proprietary ultrafine bubbles). The fermentations were conducted in shaker flasks with all conditions identical except for the water used.
Results
There was a measurable increase in both the biomass (+20%) and titers (+15%) in the flasks containing Hydrosome H2O.
