Hydrosome Labs Named to Fast Company’s Annual List of the World’s Most Innovative Companies of 2025

Chicago-based Start-up Joins the Ranks of Waymo, Nvidia, Duolingo, and more

Chicago, IL (March 18, 2025) Hydrosome Labs is proud to have been named to Fast Company’s prestigious list of the World’s Most Innovative Companies of 2025. This year’s list shines a spotlight on businesses that are shaping industry and culture through their innovations to set new standards and achieve remarkable milestones in all sectors of the economy.

“As an emerging start-up, it’s a thrill for us to be showcased along the world’s most innovative companies, said Paul Gadbut, CEO of Hydrosome Labs.  “This recognition confirms we are on the right path in our mission to improve lives by making everyday consumer products better and more affordable through cleaner and faster delivery of nutrients and active ingredients using ultrafine bubbles.”

Using the science of ultrafine bubbles, Hydrosome has developed a process to create some of the smallest bubbles ever detected, with one trillion fitting inside of one champaign bubble.  Why is this important?    The process allows the delivery of active ingredients to cells without chemicals.   This opens new possibilities for utilizing water in ways previously unimagined.

The company calls its innovation a platform technology because it can be applied to a wide variety of industries and products.   In 2024, customers using Hydrosome’s ultrafine bubble technology have:

  • Significantly enhanced the speed and yield of precision fermentations used to create everything from cow-free dairy products to variety of alternative proteins.
  • Furthered the development of clean beauty products, delivering nutrients to the skin more deeply, efficiently and naturally
  • Helped plants grow faster and healthier with less fertilizer
  • Achieved better, longer-lasting hydration in performance drinks.

The World’s Most Innovative Companies stands as Fast Company’s hallmark franchise and one of its most anticipated editorial efforts of the year. To determine honorees, Fast Company’s editors and writers review companies driving progress around the world and across industries, evaluating thousands of submissions through a competitive application process.

“Our list of the Most Innovative Companies offers both a comprehensive look at innovation today and a playbook for the future,” said Fast Company editor-in-chief Brendan Vaughan. “This year, we recognize companies that are harnessing AI in deep and meaningful ways, brands that are turning customers into superfans by overdelivering for them, and challengers that are introducing bold ideas and vital competition to their industries. At a time when the world is rapidly shifting, these companies are charting the way forward.”

The list and article featuring Hydrosome Labs can be found at Fast Company.  It will also be available on newsstands beginning March 25.
